Memorial Rites Held Sunday For Mrs. Anna Pope
Memorial services for Mrs. Anna Marie Pope, 84, who died Thursday in the home of her son, Peter, in Hobart, were held at 2 pm Sunday at the Pope residence in Hobart and at 3 pm in McCool Lutheran church, the Rev. J. A. Bescherer officiating. Burial was in McCool cemetery.
Born in Germany, she came to this country in 1905, and until 1937, lived on a farm in Porter county, west of Valparaiso.
Surviviors include four sons, Henry, Valparaiso; Peter, Hobart; William, Gary; and Herman, Chesterton; four daughters, Mrs. George Schultz, Muscatine, Ia.; Mrs William Blankenburg, Modesto, Calif.; Mrs. Emma Schrock, Hobart and Mrs. Charles E. Johnson, Barberton, O.; three sisters, 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
