JOHN POPE OF WHEELER DIES
John Pope, a resident of the Wheeler vicinity for the past thirty-two years, passed away this morning at his home one mile east of Wheeler at seven o'clock following an illness of six weeks. Mr. Pope was 78 years of age.
Surviving are the widow and eight children, as follows: William Pope of Gary, Peter Pope of Hobart, Herman Pope of Detroit, Michigan, Henry Pope of Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. William Blankenburg of Modesto, Calif., Mrs. George Schultz of Muscatine, Iowa, Mrs. Ed Schrock of Wheeler and Mrs. Charles Johnson of Akron, Ohio. Four brothers, Herman of Hobart, Fred of Woodville, Martin and Harry of Walkerton also survive.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday afternoon at the McCool Lutheran church. Interment will take place at the McCool cemetery.
